About The RoleResilient, organised and entrepreneurial, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the primary school. We’ll look to you to provide effective leadership and advice to staff, students and parents while inspiring an atmosphere of energy, excitement and achievement. You will also be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.

About YouWe are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and strategic practitioner to lead the Primary school team through the next stage of our development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of British education including IPC (International Primary Curriculum). A proven track record of academic success, as well as experience of the pastoral system and its crucial role in promoting wellbeing within the school community is vital. We are seeking a warm and welcoming leader who is keen to collaborate and share specialist expertise. A fitting ambassador for the school, the ideal candidate will be able to communicate orally and in written form with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, building strong relationships with parents, staff and students.

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively promote a love of learning in line with our mission and vision
  • To lead, develop and enhance the quality of teaching and learning across Primary
  • To report regularly to the Principal on the quality of teaching and learning across Primary
  • Promote an ethos of student interaction in the learning process
  • Promote an independent approach to learning amongst Primary students
  • To maintain an awareness of and further develop the provision of individual special needs provision across the Primary School
  • Ensure reports and ongoing assessment are effective in providing accurate information on academic progress, attitude to learning and future targets
  • To ensure assessment is used to inform planning and meet pupil needs
  • Create high quality written communication to promote our reputation as a high achieving school
  • To deliver curriculum and informative workshops for both prospective parents and our TBS stakeholders
  • To provide high quality materials for Marketing to celebrate Primary success and talent
  • Contribute to the strategic vision by implementing School Development plans to help the school achieve long-term strategic goals
  • Establish a purposeful and safe learning environment in line with child safeguarding policies and promote child safeguarding awareness among staff
  • Ensure clear channels of communication throughout Primary and between phases
  • To ensure new students are provided with appropriate induction and pastoral support
  • To monitor the quality of planning and ensure appropriate challenge and differentiation
  • Monitor staff attendance and punctuality
  • Coach, mentor and develop colleagues to meet their potential
  • Be responsible for empowering the Primary Leadership team to lead significant strategic developments through appropriate and meaningful delegation
  • Take a proactive approach to your own professional development and be seen to promote the use of NAU by contributing to online forums and involvement in NAE leadership training opportunities
